St Mary the Virgin, Strethall

The 12th Century Font and two bell ropes. Note the size which is a reminder that up to the time of the Reformation, infants were totally immersed three times at baptism. The plain Oak Chest is 16th Century.

The tower is 14th Century. Inside the church, the chancel arch is original 11th century.

The roof is thought to be early 15th Century with cambered tie-beams and arch braces.
